Code of Conduct
The Gallery At South DeKalb, including its designated roadways, affiliated buildings and parking areas, is private property. In order to provide a safe and pleasant environment, we ask your cooperation in complying with the following Code of Conduct. Your entry constitutes your consent to abide by all rules governing conduct, traffic and parking.
These activities are prohibited:
- Taking actions that could result in a substantial risk of physical harm to persons or property.
- Threatening or harassing any person.
- Running, skating, rollerblading, skateboarding, using shoes with wheels or bicycling or any action that interferes with the free flow of traffic in the Center and the surrounding exterior and/or access to the stores.
- Standing or walking in such a way as to cause inconvenience to others or traveling in groups of four or more.
- Littering, throwing, discarding, or depositing any paper, glass, or other matter of any kind anywhere except in designated trash receptacles.
- Defacing, damaging, or destroying any real estate or personal property that is part of, or located in or on, the Center, including writing, spraying, scratching, or otherwise affixing graffiti on such property.
- Bringing animals, except for animals clearly marked and in the company of and trained to assist disabled patrons and those involved in mall promotional events.
- Yelling, profanity, screaming, playing loud music/messages, or similar behavior that creates noise of such volume to interfere with the hearing or peace of the general public.
- Engaging in protests, petitioning, or solicitations for any reason.
- The distribution of leaflets or other items commercial or otherwise, advertising of any kind, offering samples of items that are sold or available for sale, or actually selling products or conducting surveys without prior approval from property management.
- Wearing no shirt or footwear, or any attire deemed inappropriate. Such as wearing hoods, bandanas, provocative clothing, clothing expressing an obscene or offensive message, clothing that does not cover or conceal one’s body to prevent indecent exposure, nudity or the illusion of nudity, gang colors, long chains, studded collars and cuffs, etc.
- Sitting on floors, stairs, planters, trash receptacles, or staged areas.
- Possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages or illegal substances or using tobacco or vaping products. Underage smoking is prohibited.
- Possessing weapons, even if legally carried, except by law enforcement officers. Possessing explosives or incendiary devices of any kind including fireworks.
- Entering any area of the center not open to the public.
- Truancy.
- Loitering or sleeping in any area of the property.
- Video taping and/or photography for personal, broadcast or commercial purposes without the prior written approval of the property management. This includes performances, merchandise, common areas and/or tenant spaces within the center.
- Patrons are requested to exit the retail portion of the building at closing. Theaters, department stores and restaurants (where applicable) may remain open for patronage until their specified closing times.
- Any act defined by Federal, State or Local law constituting a criminal offense.
